A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON ME AND MY LITTLE PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS...
I wear many hats in my day to day life. I am a wife to my fabulous and supportive husband. I am a mother to two adult children and a 12th grader. I have a crazy English Bulldog that basically runs our household. I am a registered nurse of 20 years. I consider myself to have a creative eye. I am an avid reader. I LOVE to travel and see the world! Did I even mention that I love photography? Well, I sure do!
I have always enjoyed taking photos of family, friends, and various activities. My Lulla BEE Photography business started after attending a best friend's destination wedding a few years ago. While attending this beautiful beach side wedding, I started setting up my own creative shots while the paid photographer did his thing. Well, he appreciated what I had put together and used it for their photos. (Btw, that very same image is hanging in the happy couple's home today!) When I returned to my husband on the sidelines he said, 'You could probably do this professionally.' I simply said 'You're right. I bet I could!' From that day forward, I turned my photography hobby into a real business. Being able to capture a family, a newborn, a couple, a child with their Mom or Dad... that gives me the meaning to keep doing what I love just like that moment on the beach! I have grown and learned so much in this journey. I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to make memories for my clients to look back on!
Many people ask why I named my business Lulla BEE Photography. My Granny and Pop were very influential in my life. They had already made their journey to Heaven when I started my business. My Granny would have loved every bit of this photography stuff as much or more than I do. Ohhh, the props, outfits, and tiny blankets she would have made would have been so phenomenal (I like to think I get my creativeness from her)!!! You see, they were beekeepers in their later years. I would help them at fairs, help bottle the honey, help taste the honey and stick a million labels on jars and bears. I wanted something with BEE in the name to remember that they are always with me in every journey I embark on! Lulla BEE Photography will always have two helpers close to my heart behind the scenes guiding me like they always have!
